I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in DC and I specialize in counseling for stress and trauma. I am available to see counseling clients virtually in Washington, DC. I love working collaboratively with clients to tap into their own healing resources and to find more congruence, joy, & hope.
In my therapy practice, I combine Gestalt counseling, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory, and somatic approaches. Using these perspectives, I offer a comprehensive therapeutic approach that addresses thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and inner conflicts, fostering holistic healing and personal growth. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a practice that uses bilateral stimulation to cultivate strengths and reprocess distressing memories. Overall, I help clients navigate the impact of stress or trauma on their lives and relationships, recognizing the significance of culture and context in shaping their strengths and challenges. Together, we blend various aspects of a client’s experiences and identities to help them grow and flourish, even amidst challenges.
